¿Quién es Véronique Perrin?

¡Hola a todos!

¿Recordáis aquel post en el que os hablaba de Eugenia Perrin Frost, de su historia, y compartía imágenes de todas sus apariciones en forma de muñeca? Pues bien, he decidido repetir el esquema con otro personaje famoso de Integrity Toys: Véronique Perrin. Así se presentó hace ya unos catorce años…

Extremadamente hermosa, esta niña prodigio, hija mayor de los condes Perrin de Mónaco, pasó sus últimos años de formación en la escuela de Mademoiselle Jolie en París, donde la enseñaron todo lo que era necesario para convertirse en una señorita insípida perfecta de la alta sociedad que tanto deseaban sus padres. Sin embargo, lejos de conformarse con una vida de fiestas y encuentros interminables, el destino de Véronique cambió el día que decidió fundar su propia compañía de cosméticos.

En un primer momento incierto de este camino que decidió tomar, sus padres (que estaban demasiado ocupados de que su hermana menor se mantuviera fuera de problemas) dieron a Véronique los medios necesarios para que fundase W. Aunque inicialmente era una empresa modesta, la compañía se vio afectada por una repentina ola de éxito cuando su primera campaña publicitaria, con su vieja amiga Kyori Sato, sorprendió gratamente a todo el mundo. La firma creció exponencialmente los siguientes años hasta que todo cambió. Enferma y cansada de las continuas e inexplicables ausencias de Kyori y sus faltas de respeto, Véronique se tuvo que enfrentar a la necesidad de buscar una cara nueva y fresca. Cuando ya iba a perder toda la esperanza y la desesperación llamaba a su puerta, apareció Adèle Makeda, una amiga del internado que no había visto en años.

Ahora, cerca de media década después de que Adèle llamase a su puerta, la compañía no ha parado de crecer gracias en parte a la ayuda de amigos como su hermana Vanessa Perrin, Pierre Devries y la estrella del cine Isha. ¡Los Perrin no podrían estar más orgullosos de su hija!

¿Cotilleos? Por aquel entonces se rumoreaba que iba a aparecer ya que, en 2008 decidió tomarse unas largas vacaciones tras el drama causado por el robo de una de las joyas más raras de la familia Perrin: los ojos de Prusia. Mientras tanto, su hermana Vanessa se mantenía al cargo de la empresa.

Mientras que Adèle es su mejor amiga, Kyori es su enemiga. Véronique odia la mentira y el engaño, y le gustan las personas que trabajan duro y honestamente.

¿Quién es Eugenia Perrin Frost?

¡Hola a todos!

Me impresiona lo mucho que Integrity Toys (IT) cuida a sus personajes y a sus historias, la magia que le da a cada una de las muñecas que crea pero… ¡son tantas que asusta! Estoy casi convencida de que los novatos como yo estaréis perdidos (¡yo lo estoy mucho!).

En estos días os contaba que IT está permitiendo por primera vez a los miembros del W Club reservar una muñeca de su convención antes de que esta se celebrase (acudan a ella o no). Su nombre es Reigning Grace Eugenia Perrin Frost. Pero, ¿quién es esa Eugenia? Así se presentó hace muuuchos años…

Reigning Grace Eugenia Perrin Frost

Eugenia nació y creció en Sussex, Inglaterra, aunque a los inicios de su carrera decidió trasladarse a Londres. Sus primeros cuatro años allí pasaron ‘sin pena ni gloria’. Tenía solo 24 años (¡o eso se supone! algunos dice que miente respecto a su edad).

Aunque es una mujer llena de talento y creatividad, su gran oportunidad le llegó de una forma que nunca habría imaginado. ¿Cómo podía ella haber imaginado que un coqueteo inocente con el propietario mujeriego de cosméticos Missima, Perry Marino, sería algo tan notorio durante año y medio? ¿Quién sabía que terminaría casada con él y al frente de la empresa? Ella desde luego que no, pero consiguió lo que toda chica buscaba: ser noticia y ascender en el negocio.

Entre ese momento en que tuvo que huir de la escena social de Londres en desgracia después de que su romance con el magnate de los cosméticos estuviese en boca de todos y su regreso triunfal (como esposa de Marino y a la cabeza de un sospechosamente reestructurado Missima), ella tuvo tiempo para asegurarse de que su posición era totalmente segura.

Sin embargo, aunque Eugenia siente la suficiente confianza en su posición, a su corta edad todavía tiene que aprender a cubrirse las espaldas. A pesar de que logró sorprender a la directiva y gracias a sus nuevas ideas tan creativas colocó lentamente a Missima Cosmetics de vuelta en el juego, todo el mundo en la industria mantiene dudas sobre la decisión de Perry al darle tanto poder como regalo de bodas . Este movimiento fue percibido como muy frívolo, y la reputación de Marino empeoró y la mayoría de los inversores ya no confían en él. Eugenia, por su parte, queda atrapada en su papel de la joven y glamorosa CEO todo el mundo está constantemente hablando.

La verdad, sin embargo, carece de tanto brillo. El futuro de Eugenia era muy incierto y se llegó a rumorear (y con razón) que se había formado una alianza secreta con la CEO rival Véronique Perrin, en quien vio un gran potencial y determinación.

¿Queréis un poco de ‘marujeo’ del personaje? Su mayor enemiga es Natalia Fatalé, por el contrario, Véronique Perrin es lo más parecido a una amiga que tiene ya que le ayuda en todo lo que necesita (a pesar de ser rivales en el trabajo). ¿Os suena Vanessa Perrin? ¡Es su prima! También lo es Véronique.

¡Hola a todos!

No sé tú, pero yo me quedé con la boca abierta cuando me enteré. Por primera vez, este año y ante la demanda popular, Integrity Toys ofrece la oportunidad a los miembros del W Club de adquirir (pre-comprar) una muñeca exclusiva y limitada de convención no solo antes de que se celebre sino tanto para aquellos que van a ir a la convención CINEMATIC… como los que no. ¿No es genial? Que si no luego sabemos lo que pasa… ¡qué no sobran para nosotros! ¿La trampa? Que hay que reservarla viendo solo el boceto, ¿demasiado arriesgado?

¿Reigning Grace? ¿Reigning Grace? Si os preguntáis de donde viene ese nombre y estáis empezando a hacer teorías en vuestra cabeza seguramente acertaréis. La homenajeada con el nombre no es ni más ni menos que la fallecida actriz Grace Kelly, reina Grace de Mónaco.

¿Habéis visto La ventana indiscreta de Alfred Hitchcock? (¡os la recomiendo!) En ella Grace luce un precioso vestido que sin duda me hace soñar con Eugenia. Se lo debemos, por supuesto, a la gran Edith Head.

¿Alguien ha pensado reservarla? ¡Se aceptan opiniones! En mi opinión, el vestido es espectacular, la idea magnifica… pero Eugenia no es mi chica y el precio es muy elevado (y más como están ahora el euro y el dólar). ¡Ya os contaré! Se puede reservar hasta el día 27…
