Convención IT 2019: Live From Fashion Week I

¡Hola a todos!

Esta semana se celebra el evento más importante de Integrity Toys (IT), con permiso de la webinar, ¡su convención! Me encanta porque cada día hay sorpresas nuevas y cuando crees haber visto lo mejor… ¡boom! Sorpresa.

Este año la temática de la convención es la moda, de ahí su título: Live From Fashion Week. Con la excepción de las sorpresas preparadas para el 10 aniversario de nuestra querida y admirada Poppy Parker.

Así, todas las muñecas están organizadas por colecciones de diferentes estaciones y años. Más concretamente podemos encontrarnos con:

Este año, mi día de la Webinar de Interity Toys (IT) ha sido el más tranquilo de todos. No sabía cuándo era y no vi las muñecas ni tuve que elegir cuál comprarme. Por ahora todo bien. Aunque, obviamente, si quería compartirlo con vosotros tuve que verlas finalmente y junto a las próximas entradas podréis disfrutar de todo lo que dio de sí.

The Industry es una serie muy joven dentro del mundo IT y el conocido diseñador David Buttry ha creado la colección The Lovesick para que volvamos a disfrutar de estos muñecos que de una forma indirecta sustituyeron a las Dinamite Girls. Por cierto, se avecinan cambios en esta serie de cara a la próxima convención y al otoño. ¡Permaneced atentos!

¡Hola a todos!

Estos últimos días se ha estado celebrando en Estados Unidos la Convención anual del fabricante de muñecas Integrity Toys. ¿Su temática? Llevaba por nombre Fashion Fairytale…

Venga, sé que lo habéis entendido pero tengo que explicarme un poco más. Pensad en los cuentos de vuestra infancia, en los más populares e internacionales, pensad en ese personaje que imaginabais ser… ¡Bibidibabidibú! (no me hago responsable de las posibles decepciones…).

He pensado en escribir esta entrada para que podáis ver todo de un vistazo y luego «recrearme» en cada una de las muñecas, que son unas cuentas, ¿os parece? Tampoco es que tengáis elección…

Todo cuento tiene el personaje bueno (a menudo princesa), alguien desvalido por lo general, frágil, ingenuo, dulce…. Otro malvado, lleno de rencor e ira, con un odio enorme hacia el personaje «bueno», cuyo destino es ser odiado y vencido en batalla. El villano.

Cada uno tiene su perspectiva, los cuentos se narran como quieren. Desde su creación la historia ha ido variando, sobre todo cuando iban dirigidos a niños. La mayoría ya ha olvidado la verdad de aquellas historias, os animo a recuperarlas… si no tenéis miedo a cargaros los cuentos de vuestra infancia. Ni los buenos son tan buenos, ni los malos tan malos…

¡Por eso!, os voy a presentar a todos los personajes (me reservo a las muñecas de centro de mesa, así os queda más de una sorpresa) y vosotros decidiréis si son buenos o malos (bonitos o feos), jugaréis a adivinar quiénes son conmigo si os apetece (venga, que algunos son facilones) y hasta podréis decirme por quién empiezo mostrando cada detalle… y es que estas fotos no muestran todo, algunas guardan secretos…

Juntas contra el Cáncer de Mama

¡Hola a todos!

¿Qué tiene que tener Barbie con el cáncer de mama? Pues no lo sé (más allá de Ella, la muñeca Barbie para niños con cáncer, y otras que homenajean la lucha y sirvieron para recaudar dinero contra la investigación contra el cáncer), pero tiene que ver conmigo (he escrito y borrado este párrafo tres veces). No, no he sufrido cáncer de mama pero lo he vivido muy de cerca, le he dado la mano, le he odiado, he ayudado a combatirlo, le he vuelto a ver aparecer una, dos, tres veces… he visto sus cicatrices, he visto su rostro en forma de bulto… El cáncer, de cualquier tipo, deja secuelas no solo en los enfermos sino también en los cuidadores, en los familiares.

En realidad esta entrada en el blog no va por mi, sino por vosotras (y vosotros) por todas las mujeres que llevo viendo más de un mes en quimioterapia y radioterapia, que no pueden más pero siguen luchando. Por mi vecina Pilar, que no es la primera vez que lo sufre ni la primera vez que lo vencerá. Por esa amiga extremeña que lo arrancó de su cuerpo y luchó mil batallas. Por mi abuela política, Mari, que es más abuela mía que una de las de sangre. También por su hermana, María Jesús. Por qué no decirlo, por mi hija, mi gata, que luchó muchas veces contra él y aún así era ella la que me consolaba.
