Barbie in the Galeries Lafayette-Haussmann Paris

¡Hola!

Siempre que puedo, aprovecho para hablar de mi pasión por París. Algún día me gustaría tener la posibilidad de vivir alli un tiempo y poder pasear por sus calles siempre que quisiera. La última vez que fui a París visité las Galerías Lafayette-Haussmann, ojála me hubiera encontrado con esta exposición alli, pero yo fui unos meses antes.

Con motivo de su 50 aniversario (hay que ver la de cosas que hizo) en la primera planta de esta prestigiosa y espectacular Galería, durante el mes de abril de 2009 se expusieron numerosas Barbie, algunas conocidas y otras totalmente nuevas, vestidas por reconocidos diseñadores internacionales.  ¿Qué Barbie os ha gustado más? ¿Alguien estubo alli?

Whenever I can, I talk about my passion for Paris. Someday I want to live there a while and take a walk through its streets whenever I wanted. The last time I went to Paris I visited the Gallery Lafayette-Haussmann, I wish I had found this exhibition there, but I was a few months earlier.

To celebrate its 50th anniversary (must see the things they did) on the first floor of this prestigious and spectacular gallery during the month of April 2009 presented numerous Barbie, some familiar and other new ones, dressed by famous designers international. Which do you prefer? Has anyone been there?

Para mi Barbie siempre ha estado unida a la moda y al glamour, si fuese mujer creo que sería la más adorada y la más envidiada al mismo tiempo (muchos lo confundirían con odio). Este especial así lo demuestra, lo de que está muy ligada a la moda y lo glamouroso, lo otro va según gustos. En la «Collection Barbie Joaillerie 2003» Barbie luce espectaculares joyas y ropas de prestigiosos diseñadores conocidos mundialmente, pero también en esta ocasión Barbie es solidaria (el dinero conseguido en la subasta fue donado a la Cruz Roja francesa como ya os he comentado en otra ocasió). 

La protagonista del día es «Barbie Perles de Tahiti», una muñeca que pretende ser una Diosa de inspiración chipriota. Todo su cuerpo esta lleno de joyas, y es que su vestido está bordado de cristal de Lesage; mientras que las «cadenas» que le cuelgan de su brazo están compuestas de cristal de Lesage, 24 perlas de Tahiti y una perla negra. El adorno del pelo es igualmente espectacular y lujoso. 

El valor de esta Barbie incialmente era de 3000€.

To my, Barbie has always been linked to fashion and glamor, if she were a women, I think that would be the most adored and most envied at the same time (many would confuse it with hate). This special proves it, I mean that is closely related to fashion and glamorous, the other is according to taste. At the «Joaillerie Collection Barbie 2003» Barbie looks stunning jewels and clothes of prestigious world-renowned designers, but this time Barbie is generous (the money raised at the auction was donated to the French Red Cross as I have said in other occasions .)

The star of the day is «Barbie Perles de Tahiti», a doll that pretends to be a Goddess of inspiration Cyprus. His whole body is full of jewels, and her dress is embroidered Lesage glass, while the «strings» that hang on his arm are composed by glass Lesage, 24 Tahitian pearls and black pearl. The hair ornament is equally spectacular and luxurious.

The value of this Barbie initially was 3000 €.
